| Professor T A Chowdhury – renowned Gynecologist of the country chaired a Continuing Medical Education Program (CME) on various aspects of Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) at Labaid Specialized Hospital auditorium on 19th August 2008 at 12:30 pm. The CME program was jointly organized by Labaid IVF Centre and Dept. Of Academic Affairs, LSH in association with State University of Bangladesh. The program was attended by a number of country’s renowned Infertility Specialists and physicians of Labaid Hospitals (Labaid Specialized Hospital & Labaid Cardiac Hospital). A lively interactive discussion followed the presentations. It marked 29th CME, sponsored by Interhealth & Devices Ltd. in the ongoing efforts of Labaid to enlighten physicians through updated knowledge and exchange of views.

| Dr. Mahbubor Rahman, MBBS (DMC), MCPS (Medicine), MD (Cardiology), Consultant Cardiologist, Labaid Cardiac Hospital delivered a lecture on wide spectrum pharmacological superiority of a new anti-hypertensive drug ‘Olmesartan’ before the physicians of Labaid Hospitals (Labaid Specialized Hospital and Labaid Cardiac Hospital). Dr. Rahman started off with briefs on Hypertension Management Guidelines advocated by American and British Hypertension societies. He then proceeded on to enlighten the physicians with pros and cons of ‘Olmesartan’ in the management of Hypertension.
