Dr. Mahbubor Rahman, MBBS (DMC), MCPS (Medicine), MD (Cardiology), Consultant Cardiologist, Labaid Cardiac Hospital delivered a lecture on wide spectrum pharmacological superiority of a new anti-hypertensive drug ‘Olmesartan’ before the physicians of Labaid Hospitals (Labaid Specialized Hospital and Labaid Cardiac Hospital). Dr. Rahman started off with briefs on Hypertension Management Guidelines advocated by American and British Hypertension societies. He then proceeded on to enlighten the physicians with pros and cons of ‘Olmesartan’ in the management of Hypertension. The program was arranged by The Dept. of Academic Affairs, Labaid Cardiac Hospital (LCH) in association with State University of Bangladesh at 12:30 pm, on 10th August 2008 at LSH auditorium. The CME was sponsored by ACI Ltd – a local pharmaceutical heavy weight. It may be mentioned that it was 28th CME (Continuing Medical Education) – a unique initiative of Labaid Hospitals to facilitate the physicians of Labaid Hospitals enrich their knowledge on latest developments in different specialties of medical sciences.
